Career Summary: I have worked in the entertainment and music industry for over 10 years and have provided my extensive experience and insight in licensing, publishing and legal matters to major companies such as Netflix, A&E, and INgrooves. As a life-long musician, I have always sought to put creator’s interests first, even while working for large corporations. While attending Loyola University in New Orleans post-Katrina, I began working extensively as a recording engineer and producer, quickly gaining a reputation with local rappers and bands. Upon returning to the East Coast, I owned and operated a recording studio and production team based in New Haven CT before moving to NYC to help launch INgroove’s music publishing division in 2013. During this time, I became an expert in all aspects of music publishing and distribution including synch licensing, neighboring rights, and A&R. In 2016, I was hired by A&E TV Networks to handle Lifetime’s global rights during the launch of Lifetime Movie Networks and the channel’s international expansion. In 2019, I moved to LA, and brought my experience to both the Rights Administration and Music Licensing teams at Netflix. I continue to work with a variety of artists, as a producer/engineer and as a consultant. In 2020, I launched SamplePac, a sound design business aimed at providing ‘instantly inspiring’ products for music producers and beatmakers around the world. I am a strong advocate and supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, The 100 Pledge, and an active member of SONA, A2IM, The Recording Academy and The California Copyright Conference.

What do I do?: I work with composers and sound designers to provide music producers and beatmakers with quality products.

Skills: Building a brand, licensing music for TV/Film/ad opportunities, how to network effectively in the music business, brand marketing, fundraising, setting up music publishing companies, advising artist managers, building a side hustle and much more.
